Starboard and Stripes

Project Description:

Last summer I studied photography and learned to notice lines of direction in my surroundings. This photograph is obviously of a ship's mast but I wanted to capture how the ropes all make the viewer's eyes follow the mast all the way up to the flags. The pop of the sun added balance to the flags and gave the highlights more meaning.
