Project Description:

World War 1 is an often times forgotten war, however it was the first time modern weapons were used on such a scale. It peaks my interest, one such weapon that initially struck fear in the hearts of the enemies was the zeppelin, commonly armed with 5 machine guns reaching up to 84 miles and hour. These “litter than air” flying machines were used for attacks over London and even used in the battle of Verdun and carried 4400 pounds of bombs. However the British and French quickly realized how they were just big targets and they were no longer in military service by 1917.
