Entry Title:

Cooking Moments with Sloane

Project Description:

1. Describe what you have entered and why.
I entered a video compilation of a special time I filmed at my nana’s house. The video shows my sister, Rowan (and me behind the camera directing) enjoying a meal our nana cooked for us. I wanted to capture the fun and joy we have eating together because it’s one of my favorite things to do with my family. Cooking inspires me and I labeled this video short as “Cooking Moments with Sloane.”
2. Describe the reason that you created this and/or who might want it.
I created this video because I love spending time with my nana and wanted to remember how happy we are when we eat her meals. This video could be something special for our family to keep and remember these moments., especially in the kitchen together.
3. Describe what program(s) you used to create it.
I used an iPhone to film and Canva to put the video together. I added different clips, picked the best parts, and used some fun designs to make it look nice. I had to use my directing skills and have nana film a couple of times to get the right shot.
4. Describe any significant editing.
I added some titles to the video to help show what we were doing, and I wanted appropriate music as if the viewer was watching a cooking show.
5. If you did not give credit for images, text, video, etc., in your project and need to do so now, please include age-appropriate citations or credits.
All of the video clips were filmed by me at my nana’s house, and my sister Rowan Cook (PreK 4 at Showell) was a supporting actress. I used Canva for the editing and titles.
