Entry Title:

Girl With Hat

Project Description:

"Girl With Hat" is a digital image I created using ibis paint X. I submitted this image because I tried a new art style when I made it, and I loved the result. This image inspired me to create more in a similar style. I believe this image could be appreciated by anyone who likes art and simple works.
Ibis paint x is a popular drawing application with a wide variety of brushes and colors, allowing for a lot of creativity. I always start with a sketch within the program. It's a loose rendition of the final image. I then go over the lines with a digital black pen that can vary in thickness and shape. Then I block in solid colors add then shadows and highlights. Finally, I added some small details, but with this piece, I kept it pretty simple. Each of the steps is created within a different layer of the image, allowing me to go back and make edits to the color, shading, or specific part of the image without affecting the other layers.
I was inspired by an image on the Pinterest board "hirotoima" and tried to make it my own by changing up the style, shading, and details.
