Fellowship of Christian Athletes “I Want You!” Flyer
Project Description:
I have entered a poster I created for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes depicting Jesus, with finger guns pointed and eye winking, exclaiming He “wants you for FCA!” I created this flyer to be an easy to spot, pleasing to the eyes, and humorous poster to help the cause and advertise the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Stephen Decatur High School. Where most flyers in the school for clubs are bland and wordy, I aimed to create a poster that would plant the seed of an idea to even look into FCA to determine if it’s for you. If not that, people get a laugh at the design. To create this flyer I used Canva. I took the outline for the I Want You poster, used for US Army advertisement, and laid over in the same color as the poster a big square to cover up Uncle Sam, where I would then put Jesus instead. I took the image of “Buddy Jesus,” as He’s called in that image, and I pasted it in, making text of appropriate size and color under Him to state “I want you for FCA!” I made sure to make the flyer’s text the exact same as the US Army poster, with the same colors and outlines, and appropriate thickness for the outlines as well. Finally, I used the FCA official logo to paste in and put appropriate (but not overwhelming) information to guide students to the club, such as when and where it is.
