Entry Title:

Mount Fuji and Chureito Pagoda

Project Description:

This is an artwork created in Illustrator showcasing Mount Fuji and the Chuerito Pagoda. I love Japan's landscape especially the cherry blossoms as they bloom in the spring and wanted to incorporate that into my artwork. This was a project that we were tasked with during Interactive Media and Production 1 for creating a vector landscape. Each land, water, and shape are a separate layer and we had to create each layer strategically for what we want to show and what do we want covered. Any student who might want to try out Illustrator to create something can view this as an inspiration if they want to create a landscape as well. Each shape is created using vectors and curves. Lots of manipulation to the points and curves to achieve the result that I want the shape to look. The leaves and flowers on the trees are also shapes with a bit of a blur and less opacity to make it look more realistic. My main program that I used to create this image is Illustrator.
