Winter Time at the Park
Project Description:
There’s something to be said about the inlet amusement park during the winter time. I wanted to capture that. The seats in the Ferris wheel have been removed, the hustle bustle is gone, the sky looks cold, and everything is quiet and still. For this photo, I wanted to properly balance the Ferris wheel in the center of the photograph, and include some of the stillness in the rollercoaster as well as the iconic Jolly Roger’s sign. I took the photo at an angle for visual interest and to create a “semblance” of movement, and with the obvious winter break, there is a sort of haunting look. The black and white is appropriate for the content. For editing, besides using the black and white filter, I cropped the photo slightly from the top and the bottom, and I increased the contrast.

Winter time at the amusement park can be beautiful too. Hope you enjoy.
